The Town of Savoy was founded in 1797 and is located in Berkshire County. The towns’ name is believed to come from Savoy Europe because of its resemblance to the mountainous country.

Savoy is a small town and has about 700 year round residents.

The town includes the breath taking Tannery Falls as well as the Savoy State Forest; both offer a number of recreational opportunities. The Savoy State Forest is considered to be one of the beauty spots of the region which also has magnificent views of the purple hills.
